Didn't know this existed, stumbled across this monument on my way to the Hawks nest. Someone from the area directed me to go through the grave yard to reach the monument. Nice quiet place to visit!
A cool little spot, and the view across the river is gorgeous! Unfortunately, I-84 is is directly overhead. It's just marker but still cool. The monument sits a the end of a very old cemetery with some beautiful stones and family crypts. A short but rocky descent to get to the point. Is not ADA friendly!
It's pretty cool to go see, especially on a nice day. Dont go have heavy rain fall. Parking is easy, and the fishing is great. It's quiet and plenty of spots to sit and have lunch. Take your time driving through the cemetery. There's another monument close by making the spot where the agreement took place on the placement of the NY, NJ, PA boarder.
Walked here from the train station so we could be in three states at the same time! The walk thru the cemetery was peaceful with lots of headstones from the 1800s. I like to visit confluences, where two rivers meet and this was a great one by comparison.
We came for the day but explored downtown Port Jervis for lunch. Would definitely stop by another time.
Note: from the parking lot walk down a few steps to find the monument right down by the water.
great little spot just look for Laurel Grove Cemetery on GPS an follow the Cemetery road to the underpass
A neat little landmark that's easy to get to. Designates where New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey come together.
Unique marker for the tri-state boundary between NY-NJ-PA right on the banks of the Delaware River. We stopped by here on our way to the Poconos. To get there, you’ll have to walk or drive through a cemetery. We walked since we had been driving for a while. It was a nice way to stretch out legs, stroll through a historic cemetery, and symbolically be in 3 states at once (I think the actually boundary point is in the middle of the river). Nice place to stop on a road trip, but not spectacular enough to warrant a trip on its own, unless you live pretty close by.
I walked through the cemetery instead of driving. It was very peaceful. There are views of the river. The monument is in a pretty location on the river. Unfortunately, it is right below the highway, so it is quite loud.
